Peppermint is always keen to share the latest thought leadership, news and opinion articles on technology solutions in the legal market.
Peppermint Technology, the legal technology innovator, has announced the addition of leading East Anglian law firm Ashton KCJ to its growing community. The 300 strong law firm replaces SOS and Lexis Nexis Solcase with the multi-award winning Legal Service Platform.
In response to the changing needs of the legal service market Ashton KCJ has restructured to become a client focused business with technology at the forefront of its strategy. In order to achieve its goal to put clients at the heart of its business and provide exceptional customer service, the firm needed a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) based system that delivered all the business tools it needed in one seamless platform.
The system also had to enable Ashton KCJ to provide clients with a choice of secure and reliablecommunication and collaboration channels to suit each client’s preference.
Selecting the Peppermint Platform ticked all these boxes and also reduced the complexity and overheads associated with integrating multiple systems. This has enabled the firm’s IT resources to restructure into a Business Systems Team with a sharp focus on driving the business forward. The team ensures users get the most out of technology, whilst leading the firm in using technology to extend or enhance legal services for the future.
Edward O’Rourke, Chief Executive Officer at Ashton KCJ, commented: "Following a procurement exercise lasting several months, we are delighted to have chosen the Peppermint Platform which will be a key enabler to support our business strategy and underpin the way we deliver legal services in the future. electing a first class technology solution is vital for us, as we drive a major change program to deliver innovation and more effective ways of working for a modern law firm which will ultimately enhance our delivery of services to our growing client base."
The Peppermint Platform is built on Microsoft Dynamics and benefits from the multi-billion dollar investment Microsoft make annually. This gives Ashton KCJ confidence in the reliability and longevity of the Platform, which provides the agility and speed to react to opportunities and enables them to compete with the larger legal players.
Tabatha Forbes, Chief Information Officer at Ashton KCJ, commented: "The legal market has been way behind the technology curve and we needed an IT system that would support our business strategy and not hold us back. The Peppermint Platform puts our Clients right at the heart of the business and provides a robust, future-proof foundation for growth."
Business development and cross-selling are other obvious gains identified by Forbes, but she also foresees significant improvements in productivity through the Platform’s integrated SharePoint email and document management system.
Forbes adds, "The single database and interactive real-time dashboards ensures we have one version of the truth. This will considerably reduce month end reporting tasks and give improved visibility across our business at all levels. The real-time, readily available, single source of data provides a reliable source of information to base operational and strategic decisions on. Ultimately building our technology solution with our client needs at the centre of what we do, will enable us to tailor our services to better meet the needs of our clients."
