Meet the team – Scott Martin

My first couple of months have been good! Between around 70 personal introductions over Teams, and prying my cats away from the camera during meetings, I’ve started working on some interesting longer-term projects as well as providing day-to-day support.

The Peppermint team is growing, and we would like to introduce some the team members that keep our business and projects moving, both in customer-facing roles and behind the scenes.

Today meet Scott Martin, IT Ops System Administrator.

Q: Scott, you joined Peppermint in early November last year. How have you found your first two months?

My first couple of months have been good! Between around 70 personal introductions over Teams, and prying my cats away from the camera during meetings, I’ve started working on some interesting longer-term projects as well as providing day-to-day support.

Q: What are you particularly looking forward to getting involved in?

I’m looking forward to making sure that our internal systems and processes are the best of the best, and to enabling better processes, functionality and communication across departments.

Q: What impact have you already made?

I hope a positive one! I’ve fixed outstanding issues, established a presence as the go-to person for any IT systems-related issues, and set a roadmap for what I’ll focus on over the next months.

Q: What do you find interesting about Peppermint?

The approach towards delivery and the need for close collaboration present interesting challenges to get stuck into, as well as the varied nature of people’s requirements in the different teams.

Q: How would you describe Peppermint and/or the team members?

Dynamic, fast-paced, motivated and driven.

Q: What’s exciting about the tech stack at Peppermint?

The cutting edge nature, but also people’s flexibility. We have access to some great resources, and mindsets are very open to change – efficiency is at the heart of all efforts.
