Peppermint at Nottingham Pride

Peppermint colleagues volunteered at Nottingham Pride last weekend to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. The theme for this year’s Pride was “we see you”, and Nottingham came to life with a day of colourful parades, inspiring speeches, live music, dancers, and performers!

The celebrations did not stop there, as our Peppermint Community Champions also organised a week of activity to mark the occasion. Peppermint Community Champions support the recognition of our values, and the great things people do at Peppermint, by arranging and supporting our calendar of charity events and other fun activities that adds value to working life at Peppermint. Throughout the week there was the option for all Pepperminters to update their Teams background with special Pride images and each day of the week was a new activity:

Monday- Find a new book to read from a list of LGBTQ+ books

Tuesday- Chat on LGBTQ+ movies and where to watch them

Wednesday- Colourful Fuddle Day—bring along your rainbow themed food. The most colourful food creator has the opportunity to donate an amount to the charity of their choice

Thursday- Contribute to our Spotify playlist of everything Pride / LGBTQ+ music

Friday- Share your colourful side—wear something colourful to show your support, be it clothing or a wig or accessories!
